THANK YOU FOR YOUR ORDER!
We hope you enjoy making magical memories with your baby this Holiday!
Please see below for instructions on how to get a great footprint or handprint result.
WHAT YOU'LL NEED
- Non-toxic, washable ink or paint
- A towel or old newspapers to protect your workspace
- A shallow dish or tray (paper plates work great!)
- A soft cloth or baby wipes
- Scrap paper or test surface
- Your keepsake board
- Optional: A foam brush or roller
GETTING GREAT PRINTS:
Get Your Space Ready:
Set up your workspace with a towel or old newspapers to catch any messes. Have your baby in a comfy spot, with a helper nearby to keep things steady.
Test your materials:
Before diving in, test your ink or paint on scrap paper, the shipping box or back side of the keepsake board to make sure it’s just right - not too thick or too runny.
Apply the paint:
Pour a bit of paint into a shallow dish. Gently press your baby’s foot into the ink. Make sure every tiny toe or finger is covered! If using a foam brush or roller, dab into the ink or paint and spread evenly onto your baby’s feet or hands.
Make the prints:
If needed, lightly press your baby’s foot (or hand) onto the scrap paper the to remove excess ink or paint. Carefully position your baby’s foot or hand over the keepsake board. Gently press down, feeling each little toe make its mark. Lift straight up to reveal the print!
Clean Up and Dry:
Quickly wipe your baby’s foot or hand with a soft cloth or baby wipes to remove the paint. Wash with warm soapy water to remove any excess. Let the keepsake board dry completely before handling. Check the packaging on your ink or paint for dry times.
Some of our boards come with separate pieces that are designed to be placed after the prints have dried. To do this, simply remove the paper from the adhesive backing, line up the piece with the outline on the board, and press in place firmly for 10 seconds.
